LearnWise AI - integration

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Summary

The LearnWise integration connects Eduframe to your LearnWise assistant so participants can access AI-powered support directly from the participant portal.

When enabled, the LearnWise assistant is shown in the participant portal as an embedded assistant experience, so participants can ask course-related questions without leaving Eduframe.

Next to more information in this article, more details on LearnWise and its integration can be found here.

How to configure the LearnWise integration in Eduframe?

To configure LearnWise in Eduframe:

  1. Go to Plugins in Eduframe.

  2. Open and Enable LearnWise.

  3. Enter your Assistant ID (from LearnWise).

  4. Save the configuration.

After saving, the LearnWise assistant will be available in the participant portal.

Signed context injection (optional)

Signed context injection securely sends trusted participant context from Eduframe to LearnWise, which can improve personalization and response quality.

This requires configuration on both sides:

Data sent to LearnWise

When context injection is enabled, Eduframe sends additional participant data to LearnWise, including:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Role (Student)

  • User ID

This allows LearnWise to provide responses tailored to the signed-in participant context.

You can link the Student role that Eduframe sends to specific resources setup in Learwise, such as Student portal specific resources, or academic advisor resources and build dedicated flows.

Additionally, if Eduframe is configured to connect to your Canvas instance, the participant ID that is embedded in the signed context matches the SIS ID in Canvas. This allows the chatbot to combine additional information from Canvas with the chatbot experience in the Eduframe participant portal and generate cross platform responses.
